What to Bring

Jeans or levis
Warm long sleeve shirts
Warm socks
Long underwear (you never know!)
Hip boots or waders
Rain gear—top and bottom
Warm coat
Tennis or rubber-soled shoes
Hat with bill
Multi-purpose tool w/knife
Polarized sunglasses
Sunscreen
Fishing vest
Sense of humor
If you have a favorite rod and reel, bring it with you.

Additional Equipment Fly fishing Class Students Should Bring

7-9 weight fly rod and reel for salmon
5-7 weight rod and reel for rainbow and Dolly Vardon trout
3-5 weight rod and reel for lake fishing
Line-floating weight forward or double taper line matched to the appropriate rods
Selection of your favorite flies
Fly-tying vise and tying material (if you tie your own flies)
Leader and tippet will be provided by KFA

*Notes - A limited selection of fly fishing equipment is available; however, anglers are encouraged to bring their own. Fly fishing students should tell us when they make their reservation if they are a beginner, intermediate or advanced angler.
